Create a Campaign
Send a WhatsApp or email message to your contacts in a few simple steps.
Step 1 — Pick a channel
Go to Campaigns → click + New Campaign.
Choose the channel for this campaign:
- WhatsApp — opens the WhatsApp campaign wizard (contact list or group)
- Email — opens the email campaign wizard
- SMS and RCS — coming soon
WhatsApp campaigns
Step 2 — Choose campaign type
Pick what you want to send to:
- Contacts — individual people from your contact list
- WhatsApp Groups — send to an entire group at once (Personal WhatsApp only)
Step 3 — Pick a template
Choose the message you want to send. If you don't have a template yet, create one first →
You'll see a live preview of your message on the right. If your template has variables like {{name}}, SalesByte fills them in from your contact data automatically.
Business WhatsApp requires a Meta-approved template. You can only pick from templates with Approved status.
Personal WhatsApp can use any template — no approval needed. Poll templates are also available for contact campaigns.
Step 4 — Choose your audience
Pick who gets the message. You can combine multiple conditions and set them to Match All (AND) or Match Any (OR):
- By tag — e.g. only contacts tagged
Hot Lead - By status — e.g. only
Warmcontacts - By lifecycle stage — e.g. everyone in
Negotiation - By custom field — e.g. contacts where Customer Type equals
Retail - Template sent / not sent — re-target or exclude people who already got a specific template
- Saved segment — use a filter you saved earlier
Click Preview audience to see how many contacts match before you send.
Step 5 — Send settings
- Send now — starts immediately
- Schedule for later — pick a date and time (IST)
- Split into batches — spread the sends across multiple days to stay safe
- Recurring — repeat the campaign daily, weekly, or monthly on a schedule
For Personal WhatsApp, also pick your sending speed:
- Slow — safest, best for cold contacts
- Medium — balanced
- Fast — for warm, engaged contacts only
Click Start Campaign and you're done. SalesByte sends in the background while you do other things.
Email campaigns
Step 2 — Compose
Pick the sender (from your verified email domains) and choose an email template. A live preview shows exactly what your recipients will see.
Step 3 — Audience
Choose who receives the email. Same filter options as WhatsApp campaigns. Only contacts with an email address are included — contacts without an email are automatically excluded.
Click View contacts to see a preview list of who will receive the campaign.
Step 4 — Send
Give the campaign a name, optionally schedule for a specific date/time (IST), and click Send.
Track your campaign
Once started, click your campaign name in the Campaigns list to see:
- How many messages were sent, delivered, read (WhatsApp) or opened, clicked (email)
- Which contacts haven't received it yet
- Any failed sends and a Retry failed button
- For email: open/click rates and bounce counts
