Replying to Messages

Send text, images, documents, templates, and more from the inbox.

Send a text message

Click any conversation → type your message in the box at the bottom → press Enter or click Send.

Send media

Click the 📎 attachment icon to send:

  • Image — JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB
  • Video — MP4, up to 50 MB
  • Document — PDF, Word, Excel, up to 100 MB
🟢Personal WhatsApp

Media sending works on Personal WhatsApp. Business WhatsApp supports media via templates only.

Send a template

If it's been more than 24 hours since the contact last messaged you, you'll need to use a template.

Click Use Template → pick a template → fill in any variables → click Send.

🔵Business WhatsApp

On Business WhatsApp, you can only send templates outside the 24-hour window. Inside the window, send any message freely.

Send interactive messages (buttons & lists)

Click the ⚡ Interactive icon in the toolbar to send a message with buttons or a list of options. Great for getting a quick response from customers.

🔵Business WhatsApp

Interactive messages (buttons and lists) are only available on Business WhatsApp.

Mark as done / snooze

In the top right of any conversation:

  • Mark as done — archives the conversation once resolved
  • Snooze — hides it for a set time and brings it back when you want

Add a note

Notes are private — only your team can see them, not the customer. Click Add Note in the right panel to leave context for your teammates.

Set a follow-up

Click Follow-up in the right panel → pick a date and time. SalesByte reminds you when it's time to follow up with that contact.
