Lifecycle Stages
Track where each contact is in your sales journey.
Lifecycle stages tell you where a contact is in your sales process — from first inquiry to paying customer.
The stages
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Lead | Someone who showed interest but hasn't been qualified yet |
| Prospect | Qualified — they have a real need and could buy |
| Negotiation | You're in active discussion about pricing or terms |
| Customer | They've bought from you |
| Churned | Was a customer but stopped |
Contact status
Alongside lifecycle stages, each contact also has a status that tells you how warm they are right now:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Hot | Ready to buy — follow up immediately |
| Warm | Interested but not urgent |
| Active | Regularly engaging with you |
| Cold | No response in a while |
| New | Just added, not yet engaged |
How to update
Open any contact and click the Lifecycle or Status field to change it. It updates instantly.
Use stages to prioritise
Go to Contacts → filter by Status: Hot to see your most urgent leads. Or filter by Lifecycle: Negotiation to focus on deals that are almost closed.
Auto-enroll in sequences based on stage
You can set up a sequence to automatically enroll contacts when their status changes. Example: when a contact moves to Hot, automatically start a 5-message follow-up sequence.
